Teaching Assistant: Psychology of Imagination

In the Fall of 2022, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant for Dr. Tamar Kushnir’s course, Psychology of Imagination. Throughout the semester, students developed a paper relating different forms of imagination (e.g., remembering, planning, counterfactual thinking, and pretend play) to a topic of their choice based on their own interests. My main role consisted of providing ongoing feedback on students’ writing throughout the semester, fostering critical thinking, and supporting the development of their academic writing skills. It was a great opportunity to learn about a wide variety of topics and how imagination permeates many dimensions of our lives. Additionally, I helped facilitate seminar discussions focused on interesting studies and findings from the weekly readings. Finally, I served as a guest lecturer for a class on Imagination and Forgiveness.
